Supported Living and Positive Behaviour Support
All of our working practices are delivered in line with the person-centered positive behaviour support (PBS) approach to care, particularly effective with those individuals expressing signs of challenging behaviour. Positive behaviour support is an evidence based practice that allows our team to go beyond regulatory requirements, delivering high-quality care and any associated supported living specifically tailored to the individual. Promoting dignity, human rights and respect, PBS is a long term approach to healthcare that recognises the importance and respective roles of everybody involved in the provision of care and/or effective supported living services to an individual. Using a technique known as ‘applied behaviour analysis’ to generate an in-depth understanding of the individual, positive behaviour support delivers a very effective type of person-centred support.
DISABLED CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS (DCYPS) SUPPORT
Disabled Children and Young Persons (DCYPS) are often parachuted into Adult Social Care with incomplete records of care and without the necessary lead time for a planned and managed transition to Adult Supported Living services. TIME 4 U LTD works closely with local authority DCYPS Teams to formally identify their needs through intensive input from our in-house PBS team, supporting, observing, and informing the Care Needs Assessment, Support Plan and Risk Assessments. This dynamic and adaptive support model is a hallmark of the flexibility, responsiveness and solution focus of TIME 4 U LTD as a support provider, mitigating the risks associated with enabling safe transition following emergency referrals for DCYPS from a residential/multi-location setting into adult social care.
We specialise in supporting children and young persons with very compled needs including those with Challenging Behaviors, Sexually Offending Behaviors, or those with emotional and behavioral disorders. Please contact our Chief Operating Officer Dave Harris for further information.
